In 1994 Killesher Community Development Association (KCDA) was established as a cross-community group. Since then, it has been involved in a range of community development and rural regeneration projects centred around its 18th Century corn mill and kiln. The Larganess Centre is the organisations’ community hub which hosts a range of social, recreational, educational, and health & wellbeing activities. It provides a meeting place for local organsiations including the Mill Club Senior Citizens group, Toddle Tots parent and baby/child group, and Killesher Historical Society.
As a community enterprise KCDA owns and manages the Larganess Centre community hall and leases the refurbished old mill restaurant and five tourist cottages to a private enterprise to generate income for its activities.
From 2013 to 2021 KCDA was a key community partner in the award-winning Battles, Bricks and Bridges and Cuilcagh to Cleenish local heritage projects.
